Learning your way around the hardware

Gear designers have a lot of choices to choose from with regards to the plastic hardware that he or she incorporates into a pack.  This hardware is plays a vital role in accomplishing rudimentary tasks such as adjustment and attachment.

During the design process, I spend a lot of time evaluating hardware and figuring out what works well, for a given application.  I have experimented with a lot of the new fangled pieces that have been developed over the last few years and have found that like so many aspects of life, it is usually best to keep it simple!

There are two pieces of hardware that I have become very fond of and utilize extensively.   Chances are if you have purchased a pack or accessory from us, it has a least one of these pieces on it, so I thought it would be a good idea to offer you a little more info about them.
